(5) Full Moon Witch Scenic Card

This witch stamp is the perfect size for round cards. Here's how-to--in case you want to make one too:

Supplies:

These all come in the Paper Garden Projects "Happy Halloweenie!" kit:
  • The Witch Stamp (‘Witch Hazel & Blackie Fly’)
  • White paper to stamp the witch on (great quality)
  • Yellow textured cardstock (folded in half & cut into a circle 5 & 2/8 inches in diameter)
  • 1 three inch section of the Eat Drink & be Scary patterned paper

Things from your supplies/Paper Garden Projects:

Instructions:

Start with the sheet of yellow textured cardstock folded in half & cut a circle shaped card approximately 5 & 2/8 inches in diameter. (I used Creative Memories circle cutter but of course another system would work just fine.)

Step 1.
Place blade outside of fold

Step 2. Cut circle leaving section of fold intact

Step 3.
To cut the patterned paper to size: Lay circle card over haunted house & fence section of Eat Drink & be Scary patterned paper

Step 4.
Center the patterned paper & trace circle onto it

Step 5. Cut along the lines you've traced. Trim along the houses (save those little bats if you like.) Repeat this process for the "Happy Halloween strip of that same paper. You can cut out other bats from the patterned paper too. They're all embossed already so they look sweet!

Step 6.
Stamp & colour the witch. Pointer for cutting: colour/paint around the witch in a yellow colour so that when you cut there will be no white edges. There's no need to colour too closely. This witch was coloured with Watercolour pencil crayons (which I painted over with a water brush.)

Step 7. Adhere the pieces (houses, the "Happy Halloween" strip of the designer paper, the bats, & the witch) to the card. I used Crystal Lacquer for the bats, Oh so sticky tape for the houses, & foam mounting tape to make the witch stick out.

Step 8. Finish with glitter using a Sakura Star dust Gelly Roll Pen.

Hope your crafting is so fun that's it's scary, :O)

Mel

P.S. On a personal note: I'm on vacation in Ontario, visiting family whom I haven't seen in years (extraspecially my Mom!) Any of you fabulous blog buddies live near Newmarket? I need a stamp fix and these people don't speak the language, LOL. ;O)

And then you so generously share with all of us. Thank you, Mel. I'm sure your Mom is delighted to have you and is very, very proud of you!

I always learn something when I come to your blog! That's brilliant to color up to the witch in that yellow/orange color! I always end up leaving little white edges! This card is fantastic! I love witches, and this is so cute! I love all of these Halloween projects Mel!
