Winter Wonderland Yummy Frosted Sled hills

What do we have here? It's a wee paper person with her wee paper puppy
sledding on a snowy hill...

No wait! It's a whole fleet of tobogganers...

racing on some fluffy hills with their sled dogs...

Nah! It's snowy pumpkin cuppiecakes! giggle-giggle.
Something about this Winter Wonderland stamp kit
makes me feel like a kid again!

Here's the supplies for the sledders & how to make 'em
(but they're really so simple that they barely need explanation:)

Supplies from the Winter Wonderland Kit:

Stamps: Sarah pulls Nicky & Otto
Other supplies:

Crystal Lacquer
Tooth picks/bamboo squewers
Black permanent ink.
Colouring medium of your choice.

I've found that I really love to use watercolour pencil crayons & then deepen the shadows with Copic markers (an easy way for a Copic newbie like me to get the vibrant look of Copics with only a handful of colours and no new techniques.) That's how the images on the blue backgrounds (down there) were coloured. :O)

Step 1) Stamp Sarah pulls Nicky & Otto (or just Nicky & Otto)

i love how the puppy is looking at that pompom.
Holly's designs are just too cute!

Step 2) Make sledders into boys and girls or
make them look different by drawing hair

Step 3)
Colour & cut the image

Step 4) Cover it with Crystal Lacquer
(Or omit the lacquer step & whip these together super quickly.)
It just protects them from the icing.

Step 5) Glue the images onto bamboo picks or toothpicks

Step 6) Stick 'em into cupcakes

Couldn't ya just picture this image...

...sticking into yummy squares with marshmallows on top...

or this one...

peeking atop a lemon meringue or key lime pie...

or this one..

...Sticking in an icecream cake

Why not all of 'em sticking in a cake? (a bundt cake so it has flats & hills even!) Ouuu, I am so making that for my friend Kimmy's twin girls!

Mmmm stamping & dessert. Two of the finest things in the whole wide world. GRIN! :O)

Happy Stampin'! :O)

P.S. Do you think they make edible snowflake sprinkles? They should, don't ya think?

Love your tip about the watercolours and markers.. I would love to see one before you added the copic to it to see where you added it ;0)

Mel, these are adorable! What fun to be on a mountain of frosting!

They do have edible big sugary flakes that remind me of snow. You can usually find it in a place that sells Wilton's.

Are you tired of me yet? LOL!

What a great idea for cup cakes or any treats. Your coloring on those images is marvelous.

What is Melanie counting? Is it some code between you and her? Now I am curious.

I need a pop up window for comments, so I can read and see pictures while commenting :-)
