"O" You are too wonderful!!! (+ a template peek and photoshop ramble...)

Thank
You!!!

Two little words that always seem oh so inadequate when I try to express how much your incredible support and heart warming words mean to me. I just can't tell you how extremely lucky I feel to know you guys. Wish I could be next-door neighbours with you all! Wouldn't that be a great neighbourhood? Crafting buddies galore for everyone! sighhhhh.... ;o)

I'm thrilled to report that I'm in the process of feeling crafty goodness coming on (thanks to your encouragement!) and I'm making a template. Here's a sneak peek of part of it...

These are the side pieces of a curvaceous purse basket.
There's a non-patterned version too :o)

If you'd like the free curvy purse basket
template, you can find it my post here

A strange random ramble about photoshop: You long time blog friends may notice I have finally conquered the curve!!! The curvy bits on here are real, symmetrical circles--not "shaky drawn with pencil" kind of circles---not "tracing-the-lid-off-the-spaghetti-sauce-jar" kind of circles---not "try-to-line-two-of-them-up-and-get-that-curses-on-mel's-crooked-circles-feeling" kind of circles! but bona fide computer roundness! teehee

Although, I still "feel-the-love" for that wonky kind of homemade circle, it was an exciting moment when I figured out a sneaky way to make circles in photoshop. [Using the letter 'O', lining it up on my template, using the "find edges" filter to turn it into a line, and erasing the parts of the "O" that don't fit the template.]

Granted, it's definitely not the right way (which for some reason eludes me to no end) and this weird way probably takes way too long comparatively, but "O" man oh man, was the tech-challenged stamp-dork side of me ever thrilled to have symmetrical circle ability engaged! ;o)

Well, enough of my yadda yadda... I'm looking forward to finishing the rest of this template up & sharing it with you fabulous sweeeeeeet people, soon!

Thanks again for being You!
You make my heart burst with happy!
:o)
Mel

I sometimes create in odd ways, too, but who is to say that someone else's way to do things is the correct way? Maybe ours is the correct way! Anyway, I love your approach to crafting and your creative way to do something that everyone else has a special tool for. So glad you're feeling up to doing a little crafting again. I really have missed you.

Well, that's a lot more than I can do with photoshop! Congrats! So glad you got a little of your mojo back. OH, what a lovely neighborhood that would be. Ours houses might never get clean, but we could play, play, play! I'll make the coffee and pumpkin bread!

We may not actually live next door to each other but we sorta are in the same neighborhood - and it's a wonderful crafty world. Congrats on mastering the curve!! I'd be thrilled to master anything in Photoshop

That template looks very interesting - but so does everything you share with us. We are the lucky ones having you back with goodies, yeah!

Glad to hear your getting your MoJo back. If there was a neighborhood like that we would all look like disaster survivors. Never eating, cooking, cleaning etc. (but we'd have tons of fun!)
Look forward to any of your posts!
PS. Miss Mouse must be happy with all the attention.

I've missed you Mel! So glad to see that you're finding your mojo again - it's an awful feeling to sit there and wonder what to do.
And, really, just because you aren't doing your circles the 'professional' way - aren't you having more fun than they are anyway?! :D

Are you sleeping on a pillow that is years old...isn't that the norm lol...you won't believe what is in your pillow...mould, bugs, etc lots of nasties...this has been proven in Australia that it has a huge effect on a persons health and not just migraines. Thanks for sharing.

It must have been hard to feel uncreative. But I'm happy for you that you are feeling more creative again. I have felt stuck before myself. Thank you for the sneak peak and the photoshop ramble. I also am circle challenged! Glad you feel like you can come back.

Good job on your circles. It takes a while to get the hang of Photoshop, but it is so much fun! Each time you figure out a new thing there's a feeling of 'wow! I did it!'

Yay for you and the PS...I am still clunking away at learning in it. And, it's not even for fun stuff but crap like fixing up screenshots for my work manuals (blech!). Glad you are out there...maybe your next big crafty project would be to make a big community with all the crafty peeps (out of paper!)...and then I'm moving in!
