Orange you tired of turquoise?

SU punch bunch For You digi turned outline & Hero Arts stamp mel stampz

This is a making-friends-with-orange card.
(I'm working on being less of a turquoise-reliant colour chicken,
but it snuck in there anyhow). Do you have a fall-back colour?

The main flower image is a digital one from the Stampin' Up's
Saleabration disk. It's called For You. You might recognize it
from this Photoshop tutorial on

It's paper pieced on BasicGrey Ambrosia 6x6 patterned paper
then coloured with orange & yellow markers to bring the contrast down.

-The doily edge is made by cutting a scallop Nestabilities shape & punching circles with a hole punch. I made 4 at once with thin paper to save time.
-The white & grey patterned background paper is made using the flourish image from the Bliss digital set on that S.U. disk. (how to in the tutorial linked above).
-The ribbon is seam binding coloured with a Copic marker.
-The grey flowers are rub-ons from Cosmo Cricket Ever After kit. (On the back of the clear button too).
- The orange background paper is cardstock embossed in clear embossing powder with a Hero Arts Ancient Motif stamp.

...and that's it.

Hope you're having a colourful day,

You're rockin' the colours!! Love this card. How did you do the lettering? Are they just coloured with copics?

The orange is beautiful. Your detailed post is awesome. Yes, I do have fall back colours: pumkin orange, bright pink and tempting turquoise.

Oh to be a sponge and have the ability to absorb 1/10 of the knowledge, creativity and wisdom you choose to share. I may not be worthy, but I do appreciate the beauty of the marvels you create. Thank you. Take care.

Grey! I always go for grey for my knitted items. I really like the color...and grey knits just seems so classic and neutral.
