Here's how to make it:
1) Cut card by scoring a folding a full piece of River Rock cardstock in half. Use coluzzle or another circle cutter. Leave an area on the side uncut (to hold it together.) Trim a little bit off of the bottom so it will stand. Cut an extra circle so you can use the bottom of it to make the grass.
2) Cut circle mats (two the same size) in White and one Soft Sky
3) Scallop the edge of the soft sky mat with the slit punch (tutorial by Emily)
4) Print egg template (I printed it at 50% on printer paper & traced it onto soft sky cardstock).
5) Cut the egg out & emboss it with Versamark & clear embossing powder. (I used the Paisley background stamp.)
6) Stamp the Soft Sky scallop circle with flowers in White craft ink & lightly emboss. (Tip: A kind of distressed embossing can be achieved by letting the ink dry a little and applying a very light sprinkling of white embossing powder.) The flower I used was Wonderful You; I used a stampamajig to get it in the spots I wanted. Man that thing rules!
7) Paint the Petals with a wash of turquoise ink & add silvery details with a sakura gelly roll glitter pen (clear)
8) Stamp the grass with "delight" defintion (from Define your Life). A Stampamajig ensures perfect placement.
9) Then, Cut the grass. Hahaha. Tip: you can draw a pencil line to make sure you get it straight and erase it after.
10) Adhere the ribbon, with slider, onto a strip of soft sky cardstock (slider is from new hodge podge)
11) Layer everything and adhere, & stick the egg in the grass.
Thanks for looking! :0)

Ohhh, I really like making circle cards also. I just recently discovered how to do them with my coluzzle also. So easy and how nice they come out. A very nice change from the ordanary card shape! Wouldn't it be great if SU would come out with round cards like the carousel notes :o)
ReplyDeleteThis card is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so elegant!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the circle card, but what kind of envelope do you use? Or is this a "hand it to them" kind of card?
