7 Flower Pop-up Throwdown

We need your votes!
The Ultimate pop-up maker CPeep challenged me to a throwdown!

With a LOT of help from her 7 flower popup tutorial and no help from my sad mechanical aptitude (those flowers kept falling apart when I cut 'em!) this card was born. I pulled out all the stops in honour of her (Should that read pulled out all the cheats?) heehee: hodge-podge hardware, teeny gems, ribboned scallops, hand-drawing & glue-pen embossing, silver zig painty & brown glitter details, designer paper (baby paisley by bohemia in case you'd like to find some... If you'd like any details on how this is made, please leave a question. For once, I'll resist blabbin' & tutorializing every detail, lol! ;0)

Here's the inside:

It was so fun when it actually popped open. It's SO worth trying: it's super exciting & if I can do it (migraine mel with depleted braincells) ;0) then you can do it!

Here's a link to her gorgeous card (which I have to admit clearly unfolds with no kinks, unlike mine.) ;0)

So, please check out her card & leave a vote wherever you like...

Thanks for playing along! :0)

  1. Oh man, you get serious points for embellishment. Not that I'm surprised!

    Well done!

  2. I just left my vote with cpeep so will repeat it here: for the actual flower pop up, my vote is for cpeep. But for the card (background and embellishment), my vote is for Mel. Did I just cancel out my vote by doing this? Ladies, they are both gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

  4. Carol got my vote, but your embellishments and your sportsmanship to take on the challenge by someone who has mastered it gets some serious points from me. I noticed you voted for her too, so I don't feel too bad, just a little ;-)

  16. Well, I mean....nothing personal Carol, cause I think your flowers work better than Mel's (cause she told us and she even almost cheated!)...butttttt......Mel's got the whole package--color, bling, and a pretty dad-burned good flower even if it isn't perfect! It is just..wowaz! (Okay, I'm ducking now in case Carol is throwing things!!)

  17. I really like your card against cpeep, and it really isn't the embellishmenst that won me over, it is the style of flower and the use of paper as a whole rather than making it just so plain looking on the interior...thanks for the eye candy and look forward to anymore of your challenges.

  23. Shaazammm! I love the front of your card; the colours; and contrary to popular opinion, I like the colour of your flower better too. I really like the lily shape of cpeep's popup flower though. So I guess all things considered, my vote goes to Mel.
Hopefully there were no serious paper cut injuries. Thanks for sharing to both of you!
