Vintage Dictionary Text Scans (for DIY patterned paper)

Edited to Add: Some of you are having trouble printing these nicely, sorry. So now the PDFs are linked here instead. It's taking forever, but I hope to have these all up there eventually...

PDF text collection 1

Here are the antique dictionary scans for homemade patterned papers.
They have mostly the definitions for "Merry" & "Christmas."
If you use 'em, link this post up, will Ya? :O)

Uses: You can print this on any cardstock you like & stamp on it, die-cut it, dry emboss it, punch it etc... I imagine that different printer inks will give you different results with inking/colouring it, but I found I could sponge on it (for that card up there) with no blurring. So as long as your technique is not too too watery, it should work fine.

E.T.A. Heat setting or sealing the printing can really help.
Metallic or other waterproofed papers will let you emboss.

Manipulating: Of course, you can resize the images, lighten/darken them, crop 'em, re-colour 'em... etc. Not sure if these would work for digiscrapping or no...

Enjoy!

  12. Hey, Mel! Thanks for sharing the prints! I love the vintage look to the prints. . .I used to make a lot of "artsy/fartsy" collage cards a long long time ago. . .before I discovered the cutesy type of images. I've always loved making the collage cards! I may have to start making them again using your prints. Thanks for being so open to sharing everything!!
