I am soooooh excited to share this new digital paper with you, because it is part image & part text paper! It's also sewing themed which is always fun. (By the by, I got a little chatty at the bottom of the post, about the soap-box topic of greener crafting, since today is the day for that!) :-)
You can find the whole set of these 28 dress sewing

Do you ever wonder about our crafty consumption or our crafty carbon footprints?
For a while now at our house we've been paper towel free and chemical free... and we use the greenest necessities we can buy. We eat organically and often meat free, stick to local suppliers whenever we can... But I have only recently started to green up the craft room. And I'm looking for ways to get more environmentally conscious. How about You?

Would you like an easy way to
craft more environmentally?
Go hybrid!
Nope, not the vehicle (well sort of...)
...a vehicle for fabulous pattern:
paper!
(For those new to it, hybrid is just a fancy way of saying crafting
that mixes digital printing with traditional craft supplies).
Digital paper eliminates the carbon footprint of producing & shipping paper packs. It also lets you dictate the recycled content of your patterned papers. You can easily find a local plain cardstock or paper that has high recycled content & save two kinds of green! $ :-)
You just might be amazed at how much money your local print shop can save you on paper. If you live in Vancouver or the lower mainland, like me, you might try Spicers (formerly known as Coast paper).

Hi Mel,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the vintage sewing pattern papers, they will make fantastic backgrounds!
I live in Vancouver, so i was intrigued by your mention of Spicers paper.
What type of paper do you buy from them?
Happy Earth Day,
Vicki

ReplyDeleteThank you for the AWESOME sewing paper! Sadly I am addicted to pretty paper BUT I use EVERY bit of it. All my ATC's are made with scraps and re-used pieces...I am going to try harder to use digital papers more often. Thanks for the reminder. :) Norma W
ReplyDeleteThank you for the awesome freebies, Mel. I adore sewing theme stuff.
ReplyDeleteOur local companies didn't carry any good recycled cardstocks when I checked before. It has been quite awhile since I checked though. Thanks for the reminder to check again.
