wondering what's up?! ;-)
Hi All,
Yup. Another picture of our Miss Mouse, which means another one of those chit-chatty posts where I finally find the words with which I try to balance A) the desire to let you know where I am at and B) the chagrin I feel at talking about health stuff so often on here.
On one hand, I often wonder how much information is too much information (know what I mean?) And on the other hand, I feel as though I know so many of you as dear friends and want to share life with you as well as craft...
So long story short, it's just been pure survival mode with our little family over the last month or so. Odd how things get away from you and the days blur together until you look at the calendar and realize far too much time has passed without a blog post.
Emotionally things are wonderful. I'm so very grateful that my frightening chest pains (which seemed like a heart attack and sent us to the emergency ward) were not heart trouble. The reigning theory is a bad muscle pull, but I'm still trying to sort out what it is and how to heal it already!
Craft-wise, I have a lot of cards made and ready to photograph, but just can't physically get them shot. I also have quite a few compressed paper sets ready (so that you can easily download entire sets in a zip file) but can't spend the amount of time at the computer that it takes to get them all posted. (Things that make you say "grrr!") ;-)
It will most likely be another while until I am back, but I'm thinking of you and I'll be missing you more than I can say. Hope you and yours are doing oh so well and that you are enjoying the last wonderful days of summer (or whatever season it is in your part of the world!)
Love 'n' Hugs,
Mel
Well hello Mel - how lovely to hear from you and to see Miss Mouse is as cute as ever! Sorry to hear about the chest pain scare and you must take care of yourself until it gets better. We'll still be here waiting for you when you get back to doing what you do so well. Love, Margie xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute photo of Miss Mouse. Glad to see you back in bloglang. Hope you feel better and feel strong.
ReplyDeleteTake the time you need to feel right and don't push it. Your body generally gives you warnings like this to make you focus on yourself - so do that. The rest will all follow along!
ReplyDeleteI loved your Fancy cut Flower card (last post) enough to buy the stamp!
Sorry to hear about your health issues, I hope things will soon look up!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon. I was rushed to the ER with chest pains and after many tests it was determined that I have arthritis of the sternum-a bit weird but if I don't any lifting and get extra sleep, I am doing just fine.Get lots of rest yourself.
ReplyDeleteHi Mel, I hope things take a turn for the better soon. I've been in such a funk that I haven't posted much. Now that my daughter's wedding is behind me, I feel more energetic in my stamp room. Hugs.

Have you been investigated for a hiatus hernia? I had chest pains and was convinced it was my heart but it was just when I was doing too much of the wrong thing which compressed and bruised it and boy did it hurt. Just a thought. I am sure you have professionals on the case.
ReplyDeleteHi Mel, I just thought you haven't been around as you were busy playing in your garden and enjoying the goodness of summer. Had no idea you were dealing with health issues. A bad muscle pull can really hurt... ouch! Hope you are feeling better and improve each day. Miss you!

Hey Mel, Hope you get to feeling really good soon!

Sending healing prayers your way. I hope I am among the friends - as I am honored to read about your life. We would be pretty shallow if all we wanted was to profit from your amazing talent! I love getting to "know" you. I pray you heal quickly and completely.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear from you. And remember: there is no obligation in blogging. It's YOUR blog. Just post when you want to, or can.
ReplyDeleteIn other news: Burn a CD, baby. I'd buy one!
Awww Mel, it's so nice of you to think of us; but the person you need to think and care for is you. So whatever it takes, just get well; we'll be so happy looking at all your creations, it will all be worth it.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Mel!
Hugs,

ReplyDeleteTake card my crafty friend!
Oops I meant take care...gotta know where my brain is Ha!
ReplyDeletegood to know you are still alive! If you are already hurting, sitting at a computer can really mess you up even more. I look like the Hunchback of Notre Dame when I sit at my computer and wonder why my back hurts when I get up! Take care of yourself. We will be here when you are ready. We just miss you.
ReplyDeleteGreat to know that you are doing OK out there - we are still hanging around here waiting for you :-) Thanks for showing us the sweet photo of Miss Mouse with her lil' teddy :-D

Sorry to hear you have not been well. Just take things slowly.....blogging should never put pressure on anyone. Enjoy your crafting, it is a great way to get better. Take care x
ReplyDeleteTake care, hope you're feeling much better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Mel,
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you regarding health issues. I too suffer from a myriad of health issues that can really be so difficult to deal with. I understand what you mean by what is enough to share about health issues.
I wish you continued healing both body and spirit and I know, like all your other followers that in time you'll be back to full strength and sharing all your creations with us.
Many bright blessings!

ReplyDeletejust take all the time you need for you. Like all the others said, we'll be here and wait for what ever you want to share with us.
Best wishes from Germany!

What a scare! So happy to hear all is okay! Feel better!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your scare, take care of yourself...health is so very important!! As many have said, we are not going anywhere!!
ReplyDeleteTalk about being healthy and still being unable to post. Mel that is what is the case with me ..I am writing my thesis so crafting or living life in general is a big no no !
ReplyDeleteYou on the other hand are so inspiring. You take time to inform us about your absence despite having no motivation to be near the computer.
Please do not take it in any other way than positive, your absence has sort of taken my enthusiasm to craft because you are and will always remain my constant inspiration. There are not many people in the world who are humble and an epitome of goodness. I may not know you personally but your words are after all a reflection of your personality. I try to walk on your footsteps in the blogging world. My creations are no where close to what you come up with but you define handmade in the way I would like to believe. May be someday I would write an ode to your blog. :D
But for now..
Please take care of your health as it comes first and take your time. It so good that it was not something serious.
Waiting patiently (or not) for your comeback !
Hugs
Get well soon

Glad it wasn't your heart. I've hurt a chest muscle and thought "am I having a heart attack?!?!?!". It's better to get it checked than not. As you know.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
Hey Mel,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you are not doing so hot but I am glad to hear that it isn't as serious as a heart problem. Take the time to take care of yourself. We're not going anywhere! Feel better soon.

p.s. so lovely to see Miss Mouse. She's such a cutie pie.
It's good to hear from you. I'm glad the pain wasn't a heart condition. You never want to talk yourself out of getting checked when you have chest pains. Miss Mouse is adorable! Do take care.

Hi i just want to suggest something to you, i have what they call Costo Condritis,it is inflammation of the rib cage, does it hurt when you push on your chest between the breast, sounds weird i know but i was in same situation, as i do have a heart condition and they thought it was that but discovered the inflammation in the ribs, i hope this helps, it seems common but not always diagnosed.

Hey Mel! It's been so long since I've come to visit you. I was so glad to hear that your chest issue was not heart problems. I had a massive heart attack last October that really opened my eyes for sure. Thank God I survived because it was touch and go. I just wish for you good health and good things, because I've always considered you a truly good person. I hope life for you becomes less "survival" and more enjoyable. Love the pic of your sweet cat too. Hugs, Curt
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Mel that you haven't been feeling well again. Glad to hear that it's not heart issues. Praying for healing as God has given you strength to continue on and share your creativity. You are remarkably talented and wanted to let you know that many of us out there appreciate all that you do for us and thank you so much!!!
