Hello!

Well hello again!

traced doodling hello card

It's been so long since I shared a card that I almost forgot how to do everything!
Anywho, here's some yadda-yadda about the bits & pieces that went into this one

 ------------------------------------------

The birds were made using this teeny little 'Resting birds' die from Memory Box which I cut out of Glossy Photo paper & coloured with a black copic & a white gel pen.

The wire that they are sitting on is thin floral wire coloured with a grey copic marker & stapled on with a Tim Holtz tiny attacher.

 ------------------------------------------

The 'hello' speech bubble is a sweet lil'

...made by Christine Newman (Listgirl)
(I can't stop using it on everything!)

 ------------------------------------------

The turquoise & beige stamped background is made using Hero Arts & BasicGrey Sweet Threads stamp, white ink & a prismacolor pencil.

The white debossed dot background is made by embossing this Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder and then tracing inside the dots with a silver prismacolor pencil.

The silver background is made by adding silver-leafing to Silhouette's printable sticker paper then sanding it and adding black ink & doodling to distress.

By the by, Miss Mouse is doing well. We're still not sure what it was that was bothering her. Odd! And though I'm still having computer troubles, I do hope to blog a couple times in April. I'm writing final papers and exams for a University course (and oh how I would rather be here with You!) ;-)

Hope you & yours are doing wonderfully!

It's so frustrating to not know what's actually wrong with her...I know...been there with my furbabies. Hope she continues to do better and that your paper/finals go well.

  9. Hi Mel! I'm glad that Miss Mouse is doing well!

Love your card - clean and simple with lovely layers! The idea of tracing around the stamp with a coloured pencil is so creative. It gives a nice, soft definition to the flowers/paisley shapes.

Good luck with your papers and the exams! For the exams, get a good night's sleep the night before, and take a couple of good, deep breaths just before you start the exam!

  15. I LOVE all your work. I have been using your free papers to make my own personal scrapbook pages. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The problem is that I haven't done it for awhile ( a new baby threw a wrench in my scrapbooking time) and now I am unable to download the papers off of Flickr. Did something change? I have tried everything that I can think of to get them into the scrapbooking program that I use and nothing works. If you have a minute, I'd love to hear if you have any answers. Thank you again for all your Free papers. They are awesome!

  16. Hi Rebecca, Thanks for liking my papers! Flickr has changed again (why on earth they needed to mess with the old perfection, who knows!) but anyhow... I made a tutorial with images showing how to download now that it's different. Hope it works for you! :-D
