❤ Happy Easter to You & Yours! ❤
Wow! Thank You All so much for your lovely 'welcome back' messages. There just aren't words adequate enough to express my delight. (Smiling so hugely over here, thanks to you, that I have lipstick on my ears!)
And Thank You also for your sweet inquiries about life and Miss Mouse. I'm feeling better than ever, and life is sublime. Miss Mouse is doing pretty darned well too. She is very much enjoying her new friend Miss Weezer (who was originally Eloise) and is now almost a year old. Here she is as a kitten:
As you can see, Weezer (much like Mouse) is a fiend for crafting!
She never runs out of frantic energy, unless it's time to snuggle.
And I've a little bit of crafty-mojo sneaking back in...
Just a simple A2-size card. Something spring-like:
Made this way:
Step 1) Heat emboss the image (with white pigment ink & embossing powder) then watercolour.
Step 2) Make a textured paper for the bottom of the card by die-cutting chevron pieces from white cardstock, gluing them onto more white cardstock, and doodling around the edges of the die cut chevrons with coloured pencil crayons.
Step 3) Create a sentiment, cut on the Silhouette Cameo. Add silver leafing under it using the guilded paper technique... (which is really just Silhouette Sticker paper with silver leaf foil slapped on it. Plus, I poked at the silver leafing with a paper piercer to give it some dotted texture.) ;-)
Step 4) Line an envelope (quickly like this) using cloud paper and embellished with silver leaf on double-sided tape.
The stamp is an oldie but a goodie,
(Hero Arts Flower Corsage Cling):
The die is Chevron stripes from My Favorite Things:
And the free cut file is available here if you'd like it:
Here's a closer look at the watercolour paint-ness:
Thanks so much for stopping by!
To those who celebrate it, may your Easter weekend be blissful
& May you and yours be blessed,
You make everything beautiful, Mel. The coloring on this is absolutely gorgeous. And seriously? You really are the technique queen.
