A rabble of free Butterfly Silhouette shapes...

Did you know a group of butterflies is called a rabble? Go figure!

So, here are those butterflies that I mentioned in the last post.
Since the stamp I used was discontinued, I thought you might be able to use a
similar set of butterfly silhouettes if you wanted to try out 'Traced Doodling'...

Free Butterfly Silhouettes (in 6 styles & three shades of grey to black) - Preview

You can download the whole set here as a zip file

(or save them individually below)

You can find the cutfiles here.

A note on printing: I much prefer the 'pale grey' butterflies for Traced Doodling. While they might appear too pale on the computer screen, they seem to print out the right shade so that you can see them, but once you trace & colour the printer ink will vanish.

Pale grey disappears when you doodle & colour

Of course every printer is different, so I included a medium grey in case the pale is too light for your particular printer. Please feel free to adjust the shading in your photo software, if you like. And there's a black version as well in case you want that for something or other.

  6. Simply gorgeous, Mel. And how am I not already following you in bloglovin'? Just took care of that situation. And by the by, you have like a million followers on bloglovin'! Well, maybe not a million, but close to 900, and that's pretty stinkin' awesome if you ask me...clearly, I was unfashionably late to the party, but I hope you'll forgive me. I don't plan on missing out on any more Mel Stampz goodness from here on out. And feel free to promote any of these posts in our Silhouette Challenge FB group. I know the gals would love to stop by and drool over your handiwork like I have tonight.

    Warmly,

  8. What am AMAZING idea on printing (or stamping) and image, and doodling over it. I LOVE the idea! I'm really excited to try this. Thank you so much for the Tip, and the free images!

  9. Thanks for sharing the butterflies with everyone. Very clever to colour over the grey ones so no lines appear.

Actually, I always use a different (yet still official), collective noun, preferring...
    a kaleidoscope of butterflies!

    Tine :)

  12. Hi Mel

I forgot to add that I thought a 'flock' or gathering of butterflies was known as a Kaleidoscope, I've not heard it called a rabble - but it is a very funny word lol...

    Thanks again,
