I love the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote on this stamp from the new LPS release {A Dream}. Seemed to me like it worked so nicely with a seed/flower/garden theme:
What lies behind us
and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared to
What lies within us
and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared to
What lies within us
Warning! BIG enabler alert:
I hafta be honest, sentiment sets as a whole was a stamping category I sadly neglected for the longest time. Then, I started feeling like my cards weren't saying anything...So now, I'm stoked to have
This is {A Dream} and it's just being released today from Little Paper Shop AND today there's a SALE to celebrate World Cardmaking Day: 20% off the whole store!

These wee seed packets are from a set I had to have called {Nature's Garden}. Browse the LPS Gallery {Nature's Garden} here.
The seed packets have a little torn top that is perfect for curling up for a quick'n'cute 3D detail. The label is perfect for glittering & glazing with Crystal Lacquer.

The Flowah':
This vellum resist flower is made with the LPS {Butterflies and Blossoms} set. Browse the LPS {Butterflies & Blossoms} Gallery here. I'm writin' the instructions here, but I loved makin' this so I'll probably be making a photo tutorial for you sometime...
Big vellum flower:
Step 1) Emboss tulip-like flower again & again on vellum (in Versamark & clear e.p.)
Here's a wee trick: 3 steps to getting the perfect circular flower...
1) Punch a circle (or round flower) out of black/dark cardstock
2) Place it under the vellum cardstock
3) Use the circle it as a guide to stamp around (the acrylic stamp & block let you see through!)
I embossed this vellum flower in clear & that lets you colour it lots of ways: I used markers (and wiped the excess) But you can easily rub on ink or use H2Os or....
Variations:
- You can make any size this way by varying the size of the circle and adding as many petals as you need.
- You can make it on any paper (if you have a light box) Just put the black circle under your paper & stamp after you light it up from behind!
Center flower:
1) Emboss the center flower onto dp (black ink & clear e.p.)
2) Colour it with a marker (Copic Nile Blue BG45)
3) Emboss flower again onto white c.s. & colour in black marker
2) Colour it with a marker (Copic Nile Blue BG45)
