Making friends with colour again! (Zig brush pens)

Hello All! So, the creative muse was being a tad elusive. I figured why not try to make friends with colour again, and I might have gotten some of these bad boys to that end:

They are so much fun, but with so many shades to choose from...

I wasn't sure where to start, so I spent some time getting comfy with 'em:

(in other words, spent days making colour swatches and plastic pocket thingies with the fuse tool...)

and cutting out little name tags for my new friends (all 80 of them!):

Ever find yourself wondering at which point crafty organization becomes creative procrastination? ;)

Happy creating!

Thanks - Floral Watercolour Resist card

Hey Guys! Thought I'd ease on into the swing of things again by sharing a simple card I made a little while back. Just something ultra CAS. You can never have too many quick 'Thank You' cards, right?

thanks floral watercolour resist

I might have to make a couple-few more of these to get the card supply numbers back up. Case myself to give that old mojo mouth-to-mouth! (Wait, that sounds a little like a Jame's Brown song: "Jump Back! I wanna case myself!" ... Super bad, sorry. lol). The old crafty inspiration does need a little resuscitation-love though. ;)

Anywho, this is the schtuff I used to make the card, in case you're curious:

The stamp is a floral called Tapestry 2 by Impression Obsession (It's quite a large background stamp. 5.75 inches square. Perfect for watercolour resist techniques.)

It's heat embossed in clear embossing powder on thin cold-pressed watercolour paper & painted with these paints Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi:

The die is Mama Elephant's Thanks Script (cut out of black cardstock and layered) & I used a Copic Multiliner to sketch a black border around the floral piece.

The envelope is from Papertrey Ink & it's lined with book paper cut using with my new all time die fave, their A2 envelope liner:

Easy as 1-2-3! ...Happy Creating,

P.S. As always, I'm not affiliated with these merchants. Just stuff I bought for the hoard.

Hi Guys!

Finally home in Port Moody. It might be just a little rainy here (and very "moody.") Been working on cleaning the studio so I can make something crafty for the first time in months. Everything from the rest of our teeny condo got piled up in here while I was away.

Anywho, just wanted to check in & say hi. I'm hoping to fix some stuff with broken links to files on the blog this week. (Evil acrobat file storage problems but fingers crossed the fix works.) Hope all is more than well in your world!

Much Love,
