Thank YOU! many miscellaneous sewing themed freebies (many mumbling mice inthe moonlight, mighty nice?)

(hmmm that title sounds mighty Seuss-ish. lol.)

I wanted to do something to thank You
for your kindhearted patience with my sporadic posting while I've
been so ill (still) AND it's about time for some more freebies, NO? ;o)

thread banner

I had created a collection of sewing themed, papers, digital freebies, and templates last summer, when I was well enough to be able to work like a crazed maniac on a whim... ;O) but I wasn't sure whether or not they were too dorky or not, so I never blogged them.

Now that sewing seems to be ultra trendy...
(It's in the Hero Arts new catalogue; a new-ish Just Rite set... and everywhere)...
I thought I'd share these thingers, in case they might be fun for you to play with.

In today's post, links to a whack of free sewing themed papers & images.

In future installments, I'll add a variety of free box & envelope templates to match, so if sewing themes interest you, please check back for the coordinating bits n bobs. ;o)

(PDF pattern pals) ;O)

:O):o)

Personal use only please (if you'd like to use them for anything else, please
just email me first at-melstampz@gmail.com)

If you use these, please add a link
to your project directing others to this post. Thanks muchly!

One way of adding texture to a plain printed digital image:

sewing themed freebie mel stampz

If you're curious, I did this stuff to the digi:

--Printed it out in colour (from an ink jet printer on white cardstock)
--Embossed a text background stamp (in clear embossing powder) and some flourishes (in gold embossing powder) around the image
--Coloured the flourish in with a gold zig painty pen
--Coloured around it with Copic (Cool Gray C7) marker & with turquoise prisma colour pencil over the embossed clear text for texture.
--Coloured the gals' belts & flowers, their skin & hair, shaded their clothes...
--Pierced and stitched around it in turquoise thread
