Christmas Tree boughs & 'JOY' flag (free Silhouette cutting files & svgs)

Christmas tree bough cards - free Silhouette & SVG cutting files

Been having a tricksy time getting decent photos, but I wanted to share these cut files made
from a doodle of tree boughs with you (in case anyone still has time for last minute crafting!)

Edited to add: Oops! The vertical card is actually uploaded & linked now... :-)

For the card on the left I did this stuff:

1) Cut the Horizontal A2 Tree bough file out of white cardstock.
2) Heat embossed Hero Arts Flower Dot Pattern stamp in white.
3) Inked using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on a foam applicator.
4) Layed it over silver gilded paper and added embroidery knots.
5) Pierced a frame around & added hand-stitches in white thread.

For the card on the right I did this stuff:

1) Cut the Vertical A2 Tree bough file out of white cs & saved all the pieces.
2) Inked up the remnants with Crushed Olive & Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.
3) Coloured the stems of each branch with a brown grey Copic marker - W-7
4) Cut a panel to fit under the white piece; inked it with the same green inks.
5) Glued it all together with the boughs on top (glue on the center stems only.)
6) Punched little snowflakes (using a Martha Stewart Snowflake edge punch)
7) Glued them on with sequins; pierced and stitched a border in white thread.
8) Stamped a Hero Arts sentiment in white on black cardstock, on silver leaf.

And here's a paper saver (for 4 A2 cards per sheet) It's only in .studio for now, since I'm actually
not sure how to get the spacing right for SVG but if you'd like the svg, please just let me know.

Gift Box tag card

Gilded Paper gift-box Tag card (free cut file)

Trying to squeeze in all those Christmas projects before the big day has come and gone.
This one was paper-pieced using some gilded paper and some snow dot paper (behind
the bow shape and a strip on top as well, to make it look like the ribbon wraps around it.)

> Christmas tags cut file freebie available here
> Silver gilded paper (silver leaf foil on Silhouette sticker paper)
> Hero Arts BasicGrey Flower Dot Pattern background stamp
> an older Hero Arts set called Holiday Sentiments
> Frost white Colorbox pigment ink
> Wow! super fine white embossing powder
> My Favorite Things Steel Grey cardstock

Happy Merry Christmas - free cut files & ombre papers

Just a couple of script font greetings for the Silhouette (and in .svg) today. (Must admit, I've been just a tad obsessed with making designs where the centers of the letters stay put once everything is cut and pulled up. It's sort of satisfying when that happens, no?) :-D

Merry Happy Christmas free cut files

I figured that these sayings could be used for the front of a text-focused card design
or maybe even on the inside of the card for something a little out of the ordinary...?

A note about downloading SVG files.

In order to get a true svg (and not a png file) you should be sure to do it this way.

For those whose browser is Mozilla Firefox, click the
arrow in the top left-hand corner of google documents:

For those of you whose browser is Internet Explorer
first click the file tab then select download at the bottom:

Hope Christmas isn't sneaking
up on you too quickly! ;-)

P.S. If you would like to make your own stencil font from any style font, there's a video tutorial here by Margaret Wilburn using the rectangle tool. The 'knife tool' video she mentions is here.
