Christmas Tree boughs & 'JOY' flag (free Silhouette cutting files & svgs)

Been having a tricksy time getting decent photos, but I wanted to share these cut files made

from a doodle of tree boughs with you (in case anyone still has time for last minute crafting!)

Edited to add: Oops! The vertical card is actually uploaded & linked now... :-)

For the card on the left I did this stuff: 

1) Cut the Horizontal A2 Tree bough file out of white cardstock.

2) Heat embossed Hero Arts Flower Dot Pattern stamp in white.

3) Inked using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on a foam applicator.

4) Layed it over silver gilded paper and added embroidery knots.

5) Pierced a frame around & added hand-stitches in white thread.

For the card on the right I did this stuff: 

1) Cut the Vertical A2 Tree bough file out of white cs & saved all the pieces.

2) Inked up the remnants with Crushed Olive & Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.

3) Coloured the stems of each branch with a brown grey Copic marker - W-7

4) Cut a panel to fit under the white piece; inked it with the same green inks.

5) Glued it all together with the boughs on top (glue on the center stems only.)

6) Punched little snowflakes (using a Martha Stewart Snowflake edge punch)

7) Glued them on with sequins; pierced and stitched a border in white thread.

8) Stamped a Hero Arts sentiment in white on black cardstock, on silver leaf.

Happy Merry Christmas - free cut files & ombre papers

Just a couple of script font greetings for the Silhouette (and in .svg) today. (Must admit, I've been just a tad obsessed with making designs where the centers of the letters stay put once everything is cut and pulled up. It's sort of satisfying when that happens, no?) :-D

I figured that these sayings could be used for the front of a text-focused card design

or maybe even on the inside of the card for something a little out of the ordinary...?

Rainy sky & clouds (free cut files - quick card making kits)

One of the nifty things I've seen people do, here & there, is making 'card kits' so that they can
make quicker cards with the Silhouette Cameo. The print & cut is easier than I thought it
would be, at first. Plus, it's handy that you can cut all the pieces out of white paper at one time.

This rainy sky & cloud card is my attempt at a card kit. (It has tiny little details like the eyelet lace one is that tips for cleaner Silhouette cuts post. The smallest raindrops did need a little cleaning up by hand because I'd used thicker cardstock, but it always amazes me how well that machine can cut!)

For this card, I did this stuff to make glittery rain and other details:

1) Printed & cut all the card pieces on the Silhouette machine (the raindrop card front, clouds, circle for the sun & the sentiment tab.)

2) For glittery raindrops, I cut some silhouette double-sided adhesive paper to the same size as the card front. Put White Gold glitter all over the sticky part of the paper & adhered it to a folded card.

3) Coloured the sun using yellow Distress Inks & added rock candy Distress Glitter, then adhered it to the rainy sky piece, pierced holes around it and stitched on sunbeams in yellow embroidery thread.

4) Added silver linings to the clouds using a silver sharpie & doodles with a white Sakura glaze gel pen & adhered them to the card using foam dimensional tape.

5) Stamped the "Thank You" sentiment from Hero Arts & BasicGrey Sweet Threads Thank You stamp set & embossed it in silver. Stitched all around it with yellow thread, added a gem to a button & stuck it all together

 Here's the Silhouette .studio print & cut file, in case You might like to use it somehow. 

(Of course you could just cut it and ink up the sky instead of printing, if you prefer!)

This is scaled for a card front that measures aproximately 6-1/4" x 3-3/8" (It's made
to fit my favourite size of envelope. For something a little different than A2 size cards)
