New curvaceous purse basket templates -- free

Plain (un-patterned) version:

You can download the JPGS or find links
to PDFs in the Flickr set here

You can download the basic pieces here
(as PDFs) on SplitCoastStampers

or here on Paper Craft Planet

Damask patterned version:

You can download the damask patterned version here

below is the older chit chat post with acrobat testing
(and a sample of the finished basket)

...a wee peek at the new template (I'm such a tease, hey?)

BUT it is completely finished and all set to go--I just need to test
a new file-sharing method, since 4shared is so-so at best)

(file-sharing PDFs for bloggers)

Trying to find a new
file-sharing method:

I'm experimenting with adobe acrobat online file storage to find a way of
sharing templates that's easier/quicker for you (than 4shared. )

If you'd be so kind to try downloading this 1 template (linked below)
so that I can know if acrobat works well (or not) before I upload & share
all of the many parts of this new curvy basket template...

I'd be so grateful to hear whatever you think of the new acrobat method of
template- downloading, so I can trouble shoot & perfect it.

There seem to be two ways to share files with acrobat:
1)
linking
2) embedding
[not sure which you'd like better??? Both maybe?]

(TEST)

Here's the embed method:
(I think this might simply show a preview and
link to download on Acrobat?)

I tried downloading it myself (using the link) and it seemed very speedy.
but I just hope it as well works for you and
Thank You ever so much, in advance, for helping me get this right!

I can't wait to share all the template bits with you!

:o)
Mel

This type of file sharing works fine. :) Thank you for the template! :)

the link method works better for me as the embed preview and links don't show up in my rss reader. thanks for the template too!

I tried the link method and it worked really quickly. Thanks for the template! Tracey x

The link works fine for me, but the embeded doesn't. I can get a full screen from the embedded, but that's it, no printing. Maybe just me?

The link work wonderfully. But I agree with Anonymous, the embed preview did not show up in Google Reader.

Downloaded and saved way faster than 4 shared. I think I even like this way better. Thanks for sharing this with us.

By the way I used the link method

I downloaded to my file. Thank you and good to see you back and doing well. Is it impossible to must make it into a .pdf file?

Well, after the normal amount of confusion, I figured it out and it downloaded perfectly! Thank you!

Great template - thanks! Love your blog, too. The link worked great but the embed preview didn't show up for me either in Google Reader.

HI Mel, I too couldn't see the embedded link in google reader. I jumped onto your post & tried out each. The link was super fast and so easy.
The embedded image took me a little while to work out how to actually get it to download (I just assumed you double clicked - rather than clicking on the menu bar).
I prefer the link method and think you should pick the one that is less time consuimg and less stressful for you. Love the template by the way, cheers

The embedded worked best for me. The direct link for some reason didn't work for me. Thanks for the fun template. We'll see you when we see you.

THe link worked fast for me! Thanks a lot :)

So good to see your name show up in my email! Your email comes to me through Feedblitz. Once I went to your page, both methods worked great. The link was a little faster/easier to use.
Thanks for the template - looking forward to seeing the rest!

Either one worked, the embedded you can go to the little arrow and immediately open it up...or menu and download. I think which ever one is the easiest and works best for you :)

AWESOME!!! Wonderful creation as always! Both method worked fine from the Internet Explore (Embed asked me about pop up window). Neither worked from the Outlook.
THANK YOU!!!

Tried both methods and all worked perfectly.

The direct link was slightly quicker because it eliminated an extra step.

Template looks fantastic - can't wait to see what you have done with it.

Good to see you back to blogging. Hope those migraines are staying at bay.

Hi Mel, I tried both methods and the link worked very smoothly but one has to remember to go back to your blog because it doesn't open in a separate window. With the embedded one, people will need to figure out they have to click on the menu and then even when the new window opened (which I really prefer) I had to click on the download button that appeared on order to bring up your template. Not sure why I would have to do that... hope that helps some!

The Link method worked great. The embed method didn't show up in Bloglines for me. Thanks for sharing!!

I didn't seem to have any problems downloading and I have had with a few others of late, it was pretty quick too. if it works for me you are probably OK :} -thanks for sharing the template

Thanks for the download! I liked the link personally. The embed view only appears on your website. After clicking on the menu drop down it brought up the option to download or share. Clicking on that brought up the Acrobat site for downloading. I guess it would be personal preference either downloading from seeing a finished product or downloading from seeing the plans which is what the embed view provided. Again personally the link was the best. Thank you again!

Ok, I got the embeded to work, but I do like the link better.

Mel, I think this Acrobat thing is better. I have to agree with some that commented before me,at first it is confusing when you first sign up for Acrobat, but once you are done with it it was easy. Awesome template and I can't wait to give it a try. Still praying for those migraine headaches to vanish completely!! Hugs, Sabrina

it seems to work pretty well for me! big thanks for the template!! =)

I tested both methods. The link shows up in Google reader but the loading of the adobe site was a bit slow. However the downloading of the file was quick.

The embedded link didn't show up in the Reader so I had to go to the blog itself. From there it worked ok. As a Google girl I like the link best.

See this post for another option. One that doesn't charge a monthly rate.

Thanks for asking--the link method worked so much faster for me...one click and I was done. The embedded method required me to turn off my pop-up blocker and then click on the menu, and then click again...too many steps.

Mel,

I would love the template for the envelopes as mentioned on PCP. Are you able to upload here or should I email you direct.

I'm off to get started - woo hoo!

Many thanks

The link works better for me, too. I had a my computer blocked the embedded preview. I could have gotten it but it would have taken longer. Thanks for the template.

I think I prefer the direct link vs the embed. Only thing about the direct link is that it didn't open in a new window and the Adobe app took some time to load (using hi speed broad band 11pm Sat night). Embed was a little hinky but since I used the direct link before trying it, I knew what to expect. If I had tried it first I may not have felt as comfortable. There was a slight lag time in loading it and it triggered my popup blocker.

Hi Mel,
I had no trouble with the first download , but the PDF didn't work for me.
I have just bought an Apple MacBook and there are many things I haven't learned about it yet - so it must be my end that is causing me problems.....
Love your Purse :o)

Acrobat page works quite slow, but after that file was downloaded quite fast.
Use what ever method is good for you - if someone wants a file he will find his way to download it :)

Hi Mel, good to see you feeling well enough to post. The download was so fast - great stuff. The embed gave me the option to print but I didnt try but it seems like it would work as it should using firefox. Thanks for more great stuff

Mel - selected PaperCraft Planet from Safari 5.0.2 on Mac 10.6.4. Worked well, quickly. Only complaint? No file names! Not really a problem as soon as I realized that it wasn't naming the file, I copied the file name before downloading and pasted name into the save as dialogue. Is an extra step and if that matters, you may want to see if that can be corrected. Thanks so much for all your hard (very hard) work, and your sharing with all of us!

Thanks for the adorable new template. I tried the embedded and it was ok. I had to turn off my pop up blocker completely for it to take me to the page. Also had to use Internet Explorer menu to save it to my harddrive. It's just like anything else new.. takes a little bit longer to navigate, but eventually, get's the job done!!

The link is a lot quicker - it is available immediately AND it works in Google Reader. It takes a while for the embed preview to load and you just see a blank spot in Google Reader.

But forget all that - tell us about the BUTTON COVERED BACKSPLASH!!!!! We NEED to know, it looks amazing!!!!!!
