This post is a little bit freebie
and a little bit housekeeping...
(a new download method experiment...
Fingers crossed that it all works)
Guess What?
I've started a new Freebie blog
(and the beauty of it is that you never
ever have to visit it!)
Say what?
What I mean to say is, that I am hosting free paper files on a new blog but
you don't have to worry about it...
You can click to download the PNG (and even PDF files) for
free papers right here on my usual blog...
...So that (assuming it works) downloading will be much easier
for you. No more visiting other sites like acrobat or flickr.
Instructions are below with the new paper downloads.
If this method works, I'll stay with it so you will
only have to learn this once. :0)
The solution (hopefully): a no-frills Wordpress blog where I will host free papers (in PDF, PNG, and JPG) and then I will link them here.
These are some free high resolution heart papers that I made:
- the A2 one is sized to fit an A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches (with a little trimming)
- the standard one is sized to print on a standard sheet of paper 8.5 x 11 inches
- the 12x12 one is actually 12.5 at 350dpi so that it can be used for digital scrapbooking or printing. I haven't tested the printing at that size yet, since my printer is smaller than 12x12 (for now) ;o)
They are all 350dpi
For the PDFs click the link. For the PNGs and JPGs click the images.

Would you like more detailed instructions
on how to download these files?
Here it is...
(steps to Download )
Step 1) Click on the link for PDFs or the image for PNGs. (It may ask you if it's okay to leave the page; it is safe to do so. It's another blog of mine).
Step 2) Click the file tab. (Top left in your browser window).
Step 3) Choose Save Page as (or Save as in Explorer).
Step 4) Finally, choose your location and simply click Save.
Feel free to sell any handmade items you make using these... or share digital things for free that you have made using it (with a link to this post, pretty please). You can change them however you like (the colour and so on).
Please link if you use these: melstampz.blogspot.com/
One stipulation: No digital re-sale of these, or sale of any kind at all, please. (They want to stay free as the wind). ;o)
P.S. Please let me know if this downloading works better for you
(or if it doesn't work). I'll try to keep at it until I have something good.

Thanks for the paper Mel.
Thanks for the papers, Mel! I love your blog and all the wonderful things you share! The downloads worked fine for me! Hugs!!
Wow! Thank you so much for this, Mel! the downloads work fine for me. :) I guess it was a great move!
I absolutely love your freebies, especially the papers. Why? Because here in the Philippines, patterned card stock in packs aren't available. If there are any, you have just a selection of 3 packs, that's it. So, I find freebies like this a great help for me. :D Glad the internet holds a lot of resources, and you are one of the BEST!
I am glad you are feeling better and thank you so very much for the paper and your AWESOME web site. I am sure there is something for everyone here. I can get lost on your page, never to be heard from again LOL
Sue
Thank you for the papers. They worked fine for me.
Thanks for the paper. I love it! However, I couldn't download the PDF file. It said there was a drawing error.
Hi Linda,
Thank You for trying the papers. Sorry the PDF didn't work for you. I hope you end up seeing this, since you're "no reply" on Blogger, so it's the only way I have to answer you.
I tested the PDFs on two computers & they seems to work okay. A search for "wordpress PDF drawing error" comes up with more results that show it's an adobe reader error. I'm wondering if you often download PDFs and the problem is with these ones? Maybe your adobe reader needs updating? If you prefer it, I'd be happy email them to you. (I'm at melstampz@gmail.com)
Thanks again & I hope I can figure it out! :o) mel
thank you, Mel.. it works fine.. ;-)
Hugs, Katrin
Hi Mel, Fantastic, this works really well now for me, had problems before. Lovely designs. Thanks so much.
Your work is beautiful. Thank you for such generosity.
Hi Mel Just to let you know that when I downloaded the pdf standard version, I got the message that there was a drawing error but I stuck with it as I could see it was still loading. When it finished loading, I clicked to close the message and there the paper was - in all its glory! So it does work - just takes a little time. Hopefully, Linda M will have success the next time she tries it. Thanks so much.
Hello Mel,
oh yes, it works so much better!!!:o) Thank you for the paper. I love it! However, I couldn't download the PDF file. It said there was a drawing error.
Hugs

You, my dear lady, are amazing. Your halo is all shined up, I just know it.
Thanks so much for all you do to make us better crafters.
I found your blog from a link on Saskatoon's Scrapbook Studio, and love your great ideas and enthusiasm! I used your idea for cutting out parts from a dry embossed pattern. I tried it and gave you credit on my very small blog!
Worked for me. I clicked save as and put it in a folder of background papers, most of which are already from you. Thank you! I love small prints! Glad you are feeling up to playing a little!
Love this paper! Thanks.
Love all your papers even though it was something I had to work at.Not so much the hearts as the vines(which I think are the best)And even cooler still are your overlays. I had fun playing with those. And as soon as I can,I'm getting gesso! Love your site. Thanks for sharing all the things you do.
You are so kind and generous Mel!
Thank You for that beautiful paper ;-)

The downloads worked and may I say thank you so much for doing an A2 size! I won't waste time trying to re-size and I won't waste paper and ink on a larger size than I can use. And the papers are great looking, thanks so much.
It works fine!
