Supplies:
Stamps: {Flourished Dove} & {Snowflakes} from Little Paper Shop
Paper: Ski Slope DSP (S.U), Snowflake on Vellum cardstock
Inks etc: Not Quite Navy & Rose Red Craft ink with clear embossing powder, Frost Blue B-00 Copic marker & Lipstick red (R-29)
Goodies: Swarovski crystals, paper piercer, embroidery thread, pink seed beads, needle
From Stampin' Up!: hand-dyed twill ribbon (Rose Red reinker), 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8 inch circle punch, Scallop circle punch, Metal edged tags.
Jazz I did to make it:
Step 1) Cut paper to 8.5 inches & print template. Score it where dotted lines indicate.
Step 2) Curve the stamp using the template as a guide & stamp it.
(I've used Not Quite Navy ink & embossed it with clear embossing powder)

Step 4) If you want you can paper pierce the curve free-hand & stitch it
(or you can use something curved as a guide. This is the Creative Memories oval cutter that I used to draw the template. I added some pink seed beads to every other stitch.)

Step 5) Add ribbon edging by sticking double-sided tape on it. (It'll need to be super sticky!)
(This is Twill tape ribbon dyed with SU's Rose Red reinker. I find it easiest to leave it longer than I think I'll need it and trim the excess.)
Here's where I placed my twill tape so it wasn't too thick when it was all put together. I didn't bead the back, cause it's the back, haha ;O)
Step 6) Seal the ribbon ends
Normally I like to use a lighter to seal frays but twill is cottony so it just burns without sealing. Any lacquer adhesive is good to seal the ends up.
Step 7) Cut a handle & adhere it with strong adhesive
(When using this thin patterned paper, I like to use the scrap from the top of the template & a second piece--both 1 inch wide & 8 inches long--& sandwich cardstock between them for strength)

Step 8) Punch two 1 1/4" circles of patterned paper to hid the handle seams
Step 9) Adhere the circles of DSP inside the purse box.
(This can be a good way to hide the backs of brads if you like to use them to strengthen the handle or decorate the sides.)

I stuck 3x3 notes & envelopes in here. It holds 6 nicely.
To make the snowflake ornament I did this schtuff...
...stamped the snowflake on vellum in Rose Red Craft ink
...heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
...used a Copic marker to get two shades in the embossing.
Hopefully you can see the Lipstick red (R-29) shades if you click this picture:
...then I punched it with a 1 3/8 inch circle punch, layered it on a scallop circle of DP, pierced it, stitched with blue embroidery thread, & red thread with pink seed beads.
I wish you could see the blinginess of the Swarovski crystal in the middle. It's shiny! :O) The whole thing is just stuck on a metal edged tag & then topped with a gem brad (SU) embroidery thread & a blue bead. I made two so it's a double-sided ornament
Thanks for visiting! Hope your day is a glorious one!
