Retired List & Snowfriends my Moonlight

The Stampin Up! retired list is out! You can find it here. I'm usually rather disappointed with their choices, but I was really impressed with how much sense they made this time around.

So, in honour of the sets that are going, I thought I'd make a retired sets card. (Before you panic, the Snow Burst set is not retired (though it is in the mini & there's no guarantee it'll make the new catty, so if you love it you might wanna get it while you can.) The retired sets used in this card are "Linen" (Bon Voyage good friend!) and "Flaky Friends." I added an embossed snow line by free-handing with a versamarker and clear e.p. (onto the soft sky card.) Then, I added crystal effects & Iridescent Ice. I also coloured some details on top of the emboss resist with a white signo gel pen.

To see how I made the snow flake, please pop by this post.

The technique for this card was inspired by this gorgeous card made by Kim. <---Check out her blog for more great Christmas cards.

Thanks for taking the time to look; hope none of your favourites make the retired list!
