Circles n Some Crystal Effects

A super simple post today. Some cards for commission. I had fun with the layout: very basic, but I like circles. That Baby Paisley paper by Bohemia is one of my faves. The stamp is a fave too: Oh so Lovely.

To make the flowers:
  • stamp chocolate chip craft ink & emboss with clear embossing powder. Watercolour (this is painted with Not Quite Navy craft & Blue Bayou & soft sky reinker.)
  • Cover areas with Crystal Effects
Other Details:
  • The paisley paper is cut with Creative Memories circle cutter. I've edged it with the silver end of a Zig Painty pen
  • The eyelets are Stampin' Up!'s fresh favourites (sanded with an emeryboard to distress them so the silver base shows through the enamel)
  • I've used a corner rounder on the Naturals white cardstock & then matted it on Not Quite Navy cardstock. The main card is Soft Sky cardstock.
  • The sentiment "JOY" is stamped with Close to my Heart's acrylic tiny typewriter alphabet in Silver Encore ink & embossed with clear e.p.
And th-th-th-th-that's all folks...Thanks for stoppin' by!
Hope you're having a splendiferous day, :0)

Great card Mel. Blue is my fave color, and with brown it's stunning and of course the crystal makes it pop.

This is gorgeous.. again. It's it amazing the physical reaction you can have to colour combinations? I just came from the June 18th post and those colours are beautifully icy, kind of like in winter when the wind takes your breath away.
I love the brown/blue combination but it's a totally warm and melt away kind of feeling?
Okay so who are you calling crazy now?? And it's not about working without caffeine, I never touch the stuff, I can't stand the taste of it. (Love the smell but not the taste, and another thought... How can something that smells so good, make your breath smell SO bad???)
That diverged just alittle! Oh to follow the paths in my mind.... something scary my friend!
What I started off to say was this: Don't you just love the combinations that you can make with designer paper?
I did sometime ago, Blue bayou, soft sky and celery with Basic Grey's Two Scoops Watermelon Ice. I loved the combination.
Yours here is beautiful too.
Just last week I opened a package of Comic Cricket called Cogmo I think. WOW! It's a delightful combination of Blue Bayou,Soft Sky,Celery,Real Red, and More Mustard. You'd think it was made to be together!!!
One more thing... Since I'm only an "addict" and you're a "pusher" do you think you could convince SU to keep the "in colours" around? I'm going to stock up before they retire! Is there anywhere to vote to have it become a new colour family? Hmmmm the possibilities... What would you add to that to become a whole new family? (Get rid of bright bolds and let this new one take over.. (keep real red) So interested with what you would come up with!
