(3) Mr.Bones Place Setting cards



Supplies:

These all come in the Paper Garden Projects "Happy Halloweenie!" kit

Stamps:

  • Mr. Bones the Dancing Skeleton
  • The "trick or treat" bag cut from Peter Pumpkin stamp
  • "Happy Halloweenie!" sentiment stamp
Cardstock:
  • 3 pieces of Black textured cardstock (measuring 4 2/8 by 3.5 inch) folded in half to make a 2 1/8 by 3 1/2 inch place card.
  • 3 mats (3 2/8 by 2 inch) one each of Yellow, Green & Orange textured cardstock
  • Black, Yellow, Green & Orange textured cardstock (cut with Scallop nestabilities, punches or circle cutters)

Instructions:


Step 1. Stamp Mr. Bones in waterproof Onyx Black Versafine Ink Pad.



Step 2. Colour some shadows onto him with markers & cut him out


Step 3. Glitter him with a Sakura Star dust Gelly Roll Pen & coat the image in Crystal Lacquer


The Crystal Lacquer brings out the Star dust glitter pen & it glimmers!



Step 4.
Stamp, colour & cut out the wee "Trick or Treat" bag from Peter Pumpkin stamp, Add a bit of silver cording to the back of it as a handle & stick it on Mr.Bones' arm.



The cards & assembly:
Step 1 Cut Cardstock & make place cards:
  • Cut 3 pieces of Black textured cardstock 4 2/8 by 3.5 inch folded in half to make a 2 1/8 by 3 1/2 inch place card.
  • Cut 3 mats (3 2/8 by 2 inch) one each of Yellow, Green & Orange textured cardstock
  • Stamp & emboss "Happy Halloweenie!" sentiment onto the 3 coloured mats.
  • Mount 3 mats onto the 3 black place cards.
Step 2. Assemble it all:
  • Assemble the 3 coloured scallops & their black mats.
  • Stick the skeleton & their wee "Trick or Treat" bags onto the scallops.
  • Mount the scallops onto the place cards with foam mounting tape.

How precious are these?! I just love these fun little skeletons! I'm always making placecards at the holidays - even when it's just the 4 of us! They dress the table up!

Mr. Bones is the cutest of all and especially the way you colour him is even better. The puppets for the cupcake toppers will be awesome. Off to go buy some cupcakes, oh wait, I need stamps first. Off to buy stamps :-)

Oh my gosh, those skeletons look like they're dancing and having a lot of fun!! Such a fun way to dress up a table!! Kids love this sort of stuff! Another fun project, Mel! How the heck do you find the time. . .you must not sleep! LOL!
