(4) Peter Pumpkin Ghosty Swing Card



Treat? or Trick! Underneath this little ghost swinger is the cutest little-kid-in-a pumpkin-costume stamp you've ever seen: Peter Pumpkin!


Supplies:

These all come in the Paper Garden Projects "Happy Halloweenie!" kit:

Stamps:
The sweet 'Peter Pumpkin' stamp

Cardstock:



  • Black Textured cardstock (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded to make an A2 sized card)

  • 1 piece of the orange textured cardstock (5 2/8 by 4 inches)

  • 1 piece of white cardstock (for main image: 3 2/8 inch square; 2 1/2 inch square to cut into ghost shape; scraps to stamp 3 wee trick or treat bags onto

  • Black Textured cardstock Mat for image (3 3/8 inch square)

  • Green Textured cardstock (3 3/4 inch square scalloped)

  • 5 1/2 by 2 inches of Pixie Sticks (Striped & dotted) double-sided patterned paper

  • Black Textured cardstock Mat for Pixie Sticks paper( 5 1/2 by 2 2/8 inches)

  • Black Textured cardstock (strip: 4 2/8 by 1/2 inch & 3 1 inch circles punched

Instructions:


Step 1: Fold card & cut pieces:


  • Black Textured cardstock (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 folded to make an A2 sized card)

  • 1 piece of the orange textured cardstock (5 2/8 by 4 inches)

  • 1 piece of white cardstock (for main image: 3 2/8 inch square; 2 1/2 inch square to cut into ghost shape; scraps to stamp 3 wee trick or treat bags onto

  • Black Textured cardstock Mat for image (3 3/8 inch square)

  • Green Textured cardstock (3 3/4 inch square scalloped)

  • 5 1/2 by 2 inches of Pixie Sticks (Striped & dotted) double-sided patterned paper

  • Black Textured cardstock Mat for Pixie Sticks paper ( 5 1/2 by 2 2/8 inches)

  • Black Textured cardstock (strip: 4 2/8 by 1/2 inch & 3 1 inch circles punched


Step 2. Stamp & colour images:


  • Stamp Peter Pumpkin in black ink onto the white cardstock (for main image: 3 2/8 inch square & emboss him with clear embossing powder.

  • Stamp Mr. Bones skeletons around him & emboss them with clear embossing powder.

  • Stamp three "trick or Treat" bags (using Peter Pumpkin Stamp) in black ink & emboss them with clear embossing powder.
Colour the image using Watercolour pencils & Niji watercolour brush or Inks, markers, other colouring medium. The skeletons will show through with the colour.

Step 3.
Distress the edges & mount the image onto the black 3 3/8 inch square mat.


Step 4. Make the ghost & attach it:


  • Print & cut out the ghost shape template

  • Trace the template onto a 2 1/2 inch square piece of white cardstock

  • Cut out the ghost & distress the edges with ink on a Colour duster brush or a sponge.

  • Punch two connected 1/8 inch holes in for his eyes

  • Lay the ghost over the image so the eye holes are over his eyes & pierce a hole in the top.

  • Push a brad through the hole & close it so that the ghost shape can move.
Step 5. Create the green scallop using the 3 3/4 inch square piece of Green Textured cardstock & add it under the matted image.

Step 6.
Assemble the card base:


  • Adhere the orange textured mat (5 2/8 by 4 inches) to the black card.

  • Adhere thePixie Sticks patterned paper to the Black Textured cardstock Mat ( 5 1/2 by 2 2/8 inches) Distress edges & affix onto the orange mat



"Trick or Treat" bag accents:

Step 1. Colour & cut out the 3 wee "Trick or Treat" bags from Peter Pumpkin stamp. Add a bit of silver cording to the back of it as a handle

Step 2. stick it on the 3 black cardstock circles

Step 3. Distress & assemble:



  • Draw lines on the strip of black cardstock with the Star dust gelly roll pen & adhere it to the card. Finish by adding the 3 circles.
