When I think of Angels, I think of You guys!
Cheesy but too true; you are all SO good to me. Thank You for making blogging my idea of heaven! Sooooh.... is this a cloud? ...is it a thought bubble? One things fo' sho,' it's another sweet LPS set that's bein' released this coming Tuesday: it's called {Angels}

I like that she has that sweet Anime look, with the perfect phrases to boot, and she's supah easy to paper piece! :O) Here, she's sittin' on a cloud (a swing card) & she's on top of the world...on a box that hides behind the cloud when it's closed--(I'll be postin' the cloud templates & the box instructions tomorrow in case you might like to use 'em.) :O)
You can see more of the sneakie previews for Little Paper Shop
(& play along with blingie & sketchie challenges) on the LPS blog.

I just gotsta say, acrylic is heavenly isn't it? ;o) It was loverly to cut the sentiment from the set in two to make a curved saying. So flexamible!
On the front, this says: "When I think of Angels,"...
On the front, this says: "When I think of Angels,"...
then it swings open to say..."I think of You":
It opens again (so you can write in it.) The "Heaven Sent" sentiment cloud covers the inside of the brad that holds the swingin' together:
and the card is stuck right onto the box.
There ended up being a gazillion photos for this (i am crazy; you know it!) I'll try and break em up, so I don't bore you to death (but if I do manage to do you in, I just know you'll go to heaven!) teehee.
So today: making that cute angel & the cloud shapes.
(And tomorrow: the box & the cloud assembly)
Step 1) Paper piece the Angel dress: Stamp the Angel's dress on patterned paper (This is my favourite Urban Prairie.) If you like you can colour paper piecing. I added Pink marker shading & white CTMH marker <--- (I lurve that thing!)
Step 2) The white CTMH marker lets you colour over it. (Nile BG45 Copic marker)
Step 3) Stamp a whole angel & angel legs to go with paper pieced dress
Step 4) Stick here together & Add more Colour & Bling: [...did this schtuff: more Copics (Frost Blue B00, Warm Gray No.1, Skin White E-00, shimmerz the angel. Stick her dress and legs on (She has Swarovski Crystal earrings too!)] hehehe
Step 1) Paint a generous layer of Mod Podge Matte on Cardstock (you just wanna make sure it stays wet)
Step 2) Lay mulberry paper on it. (I used a full sheet & strips of torn mulberry paper & topcoated lightly in mod podge.)
Step 3) Dry it (naturally or impatiently) hehehe
Step 4) Paint on some shine (shimmerz or lumiere or perfect pearls or pearlescent paint...)
Step 5) Trace 3 cloud templates on back of the mulberry mod podge paper
Step 6) Cut cloud shapes out
Step 7) Emboss the clouds (DIY grunge-board embossing plate)
Shaping the Card:
Step 1) Score & Fold: score a piece of cardstock at 5 1/2 inches & fold it in half (standard size 8.5 x 11)
Step 2) Trace the cloud shape on (Largest size, off top edge, keeping fold intact)
Step 3) Cut thru both layers (again leavin' that fold intact.) I cheated and then cut the back of this off in a freehand cloud shape, so you could still see that grungeboard embossing when you opened the card:
The Lil' Cloud Sentiments:
Step 1) Curve acyclic {Angels} sentiment stamp & Emboss on scraps from Cloud making (i tried double-dip embossing: lighter colour with darker on top: Tempting Turquoise & Not Quite Navy Craft ink. With Pearlescent embossing powder.)
Step 2) Trace template over the sentiments & cut out in cloud shapes
Step 3) Every cloud has a silver lining harhar
(That's a Zig Painty pen: stanky but stays put!)
Step 4) Decorate the back too. You can detail any areas that will over hang when card is open (and be visible.) That's Angel Wings Shimmerz.
Happy Stampin' You angels You! :O)

Another work of a genius. When they create stamps, they may have people like you in mind. I would have no clue how to use this image. LOL!
Great job with the clouds and coloring and everything. Love the new embossing plate you created too.
